Toyo Tire Holdings of Europe has renewed its partnership with the AIG Women’s Open, the latest renewal of which is taking place at Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey from August 10-13.

The Japanese tyre manufacturer is partnering with the AIG Women’s Open as a Patron and the Official Tyre for the fifth consecutive year, going back to its initial support of the championship when was held at Woburn in 2019, and then at subsequent renewals at Royal Troon in 2020, Carnoustie in 2021 and Muirfield last year.

Colin Pears, Toyo Tyre (UK) Ltd Managing Director, said: “We are happy and excited to be an Official Patron of the Women’s Open for our fifth year. It provides us with a great opportunity to be associated with a sporting event that is revered and enjoyed by millions worldwide.”

South African Ashleigh Buhai is the defending AIG Women’s Open champion after her victory in Scotland in 2022, while this year’s field at Walton Heath will be competing not only for the coveted championship trophy but also a record prize fund of $7.3 million (£5.7m).
